  1. The same Bill Medveckey who stated on his blog that he was moving certain attorneys from New Orleans? to Texas? Guess that did not work out. Any attorney applicants should contact Texas attorney Robert Gibson, Jr. who filed a civil suit against Texas CPS for monetarty damages.
His client was Naomi Johnson, an flds mother who had children swept up in the raid, rescue. Mr Gibson later withdrew the suit citing the Texas immunity laws that make it difficult for such cases to proceed. Oh well, if the flds want to send more money to lawyers, they can donate to BM and his “scorched earth…ROFL.

  2. I think the last thing the flds need is more legal bills. However attorneys expect to get paid upfront unless they see big dollar awards in which case they could do it on a contingency basis. If the lawyers really thought there were big dollar awards in flds civil suits against CPS, etc., the lawyers would be falling over themselves to file those suits. The fact that it is not happening is signifigants.

  3. chemist

CORRECT! And for Bill to troll his “blog” for an attorney is just about the most rediculous thing ever!

He ought to crack open the yellow pages and start dialing. By the end of week he ought to get the big picture!

Besides, he doesnt have any dog in that fight. The flds need to find their own.

They own yellow page books too!

  4. citing the Texas immunity laws that make it difficult for such cases to proceed…

I’ve been preaching this meme for some time now. Lawyers in general are big enough whores that if there is money to be made in a case they’ll pursue it. Heck in Harris County alone there have been a couple of multi-million dollar civil rights verdicts in the last year.

However, none of the FLDS cases are worth pursuing. Even though CPS overreached (in the minds of the 3rd COA) in taking all the kids, the underlying facts just stink.

I know Rebeckah called out Stamp for making poopoo references, but in many ways that’s what their cases are. BTW – what happened to Bill M’s Texas lawyers – the Johnny on the spot guys that he supposedly had working on all sorts of things here in Texas?

  5. Ron

“BTW – what happened to Bill M’s Texas lawyers – the Johnny on the spot guys that he supposedly had working on all sorts of things here in Texas?”

    =================

That was just another idle yet hilarious joke Bill played on himself!
The FLDS are in a corner, but its nice TO THINK you have a case – but THINKING and WINNING are light years apart in the FLDS universe.

Adding to that, it turns out EVERYTHING Medvecky spouts has become a joke!

His can has been kicked up and down the internet so badly, he has to resort to pulling peoples chain in his vain attempt to get fundie love.

Funny thing is, its the fundies who will get all lathered up over Bill – Oh wait, I think even them have him figured out by now too!

  6. You have to wonder if Bill M. is just blowing smoke in his “ad” for an attorney. It is probably just something to keep the flds thinking that he is on their side and working hard for them. He must think the flds are real stupid and won’t see through his flim-flam.

  7. You have to wonder if Bill M. is just blowing smoke

You mean Bill M does things other than blow smoke? Oh wait – that’s right, he also spews bile.

  8. “The same Bill Medveckey who stated on his blog that he was moving certain attorneys from New Orleans? to Texas? Guess that did not work out.”

Maybe they sobered up after they left NOLA and realized they were on a fools errand. LOL.

I think Bill is inhaling some of the smoke.

  9. Bad Billy wants to gt the FLDS to impale themselves on his distaste for all things legal.

  11. why doesn’t medvecky get jerri lynn ward the attorney who posts on his blog all the time to do it!!?

  12. Have you noticed of late that the most frequent commenter on his blog is him?

  13. Betty Yes, I noticed that he does the articles amd most of the comments. When I posted soething there it did not get through the approval process. I seldom visit his site anymore.

  14. Here is another LOL for you, Brooke Adams has killed her blog. She has shut down comments. She might as well not even bother writing anything.

  15. She hasn’t really been writing anything for awhile now.

  16. She is going to allow comments, but EVERYONE will be moderated and ONLY the best will be posted

  17. LOL, fast way to kill your blog! Oh well more posters for this blog.

  18. In other words Brooke is going to censor her readers/posters and only the ones she agrees with will she allow others to see. Communist Russia anyone?

  19. Well,, if you go to her blog and push HOME, Her newest blog pops up telling everyone the Childish rules she has come up with

And Mary Harker was the accountant from 1972 to 2006 and of course she thinks the cows were sold to low,,, although WHERE the HELL was she when The trust was taken over….?

  25. Brooke has a “new” rehash article on her blog about the sell of the cows, the Harker farms, etc. I posted a comment and got the “waiting moderation” message. My post may never appear since I posted that she should delete comments on her blog.

  30. Chemist this is the deal on Harker farms. I found it earlier.
    September 2007
The UEP Trust recently purchased an Iron County dairy farm with assets that lawyers said had been funneled into the FLDS Church. Wisan wrote that he had been told the founder of Harker Dairy had intended to donate the operation to the UEP Trust, but never did. Instead, it went to the FLDS Church and it was managed by some members of the Harker family who were Jeffs followers.
In his report, Wisan claims he bought the farm at the urging of some of Parley Harker’s other sons and grandsons.
“Such sons and grandsons assert that the Harker property should be available for the benefit of other descendants of Parley Harker, rather than just for those select descendants who are favored by Warren Jeffs,” Wisan wrote.
Rather than get into a long legal fight over what Parley Harker really intended to happen to the farm, Wisan bought it for the UEP Trust in an auction that collected on an $8.8 million civil judgment against the FLDS Church. Shortly after the change in ownership, the farm’s manager, Joseph Harker, quit.
“In the course of human events it becomes necessary for two parties to separate due to conflicts of interest, and in protest against the motives and agenda of the new owner,” Harker wrote in a letter of resignation filed with the report.
Because dairy cows need to be milked, Wisan had to scramble to get some people to step in and run the farm. Now, he says he may put the farm up for sale to generate more money for the UEP Trust.

  31. This is from Brookes story last year where some of the people who had worked at the farm before it was taken over in 2008filed lawsuit against Fidicuary. Where were they in 2005 when the TRUST was taken over by the state?
Plaintiffs named in the new lawsuit include:

    Ammon Parley Harker
    Benjamin Harker
    Brigham Zitting Jeffs
    Craig D. Roundy
    Ephraim Carl Holm
    Fred Christopher Peine
    Ivan Michael Harker
    James Jessop Harker
    Joseph Elmo Carlisle
    Leroy Dale Holm
    Leroy John Harker
    Nathan Jessop
    Robert Harker Jeffs
    Stanley Robert Harker
    Frank Tilton Johnson Jr.
    William Cook Ream

Is that supposed to mean something? Medvecky has delusions !!

  47. Yes he does. It may be a sexual problem. I hope all such can overcome their problems. Life is so fickle.

  48. “Life is so fickle.”

    Words Warren lives by.

  49. Curious, LOL

  50. Alin, I believe it was this post that really offended a few people:

“If anything Flora said were true, Kevan would have chosen his words differently. He might have used a double negative–that “the quote is not entirely inaccurate”–but he didn’t. The only conclusion a fair minded person can reach is that Flora has passed another another noxious emission that the KS, with their noses planted firmly in her rear, has mistaken for the sweetest perfume.”

And it IS incredibly rude. On the other hand, I’ve seen worse. I didn’t think it was anything worth complaining about, myself.

  51. My argument with First Amendment’s post was the assertion that “her statement is inaccurate” means the same thing as “her statement is untrue” or even “she was wrong”. No, “inaccurate” leaves room (in my mind) leaves room for some of what Flora has claimed to be valid. My guess is that “all” of the residents were not receiving food stamp assistence but some certainly were.

By the way, I think it was Watching who said that a trailer of food was loaded up from a Costco and that it showed that food stamps were being used to feed the folks in Eldorado. Last time I was at Costco, however, they didn’t take food stamps. It might be different now that they have the little debit cards, but I suspect that trailer of food wasn’t bought through food stamps.

  52. LOL? He who laughs last laughs best.

  53. Fergie

You got a audio tape of Warren laughing? I just have some tapes of his racist rants.

But maybe he laughs, at all the sheeple that still send him money!

  54. Alin wrote “I notice something on Brooke’s blog. Something to effect lots of complaints about FA. ”

He went into a series of posts which accused those who disagreed with eating up lies. Only he called the lies by…um…poo names. It was offensive and unnecessary. I’m guessing he got angry and lost it. Usually, he’s just dumb and repetitive, not offensive.

  61. These people entered into polygamy and it has never been legal in the USA – ever!

In fact it has had more and more laws passed against it all the time. They cant claim “Grandfathered” status.

Look at the history of Polygamy in mormon sects – its often surrounded by murder. From Missouri to Joe Smith, to Mountain meadows, to LeBarons and Lafferties, these things define the history of it.

And now the Greens, Kingstons and FLDS add to the legacy, that it is abusive even unto their own.

  62. Yes, the Lebarons are surrounded by murder, but not ONE FLDS murder. Maybe and EX-FLDS, but not FLDS, see, not ONE. The moment you committ such a crime, you cease to be FLDS.

As for murder, and laws in the USA, IT IS THE LAW TO MURDER, and there are 4,000 serial-killings every day, decreed by the laws of the United States.

So, who is guilty, the givers of live, or the takers of life?

  63. The history is clear: Joseph was the one who was slain, and freely so by his own choice, preferrring death over the harming of someone else, proclaiming: “I go to the slaughter as a lamb, by I am as calm as a summer’s morning”.

Mountain Meadows? You’re reaching for straws. You have to read the history there too. The Mormons had just been slain in Illinois, and now here comes bands of loud-mouthed wagon-trains threatening them again. Go figure. Anyone would defend their family from such assaults. As for Brigham Young, the history also says that he was very angry over that. Some outcasts and some Indians, as the record states, were mocked by the wagon-train over the Illinois killings, and maybe even assaulted, so they sought to prevent further assaults. But Brigham was angry over it. It was not the Church doing it, to wit:

The Mountain Meadows Massacre of 1857 and the Trials of John D. Lee: According to the defense attorney’s version of events, hundreds of Indians at Mountain Meadows forced the few dozen white men into helping in the killing: …

  64. What is so very atrocious, and the ultimate blood-bath, is the USA and the states mass-murdering 4,000 little babies EVERY DAY FOR 35 YEARS, totally 50-million babies slain by serial-killers, with the blessing of your so-called “law”, TEN-TIMES the crime committed by Hitler!

There’s the ultimate crime, and the worse blood-bath in the history of mankind, and you sustain that law and that government!!!

You cannot skirt this fact by trying to put your massive crime and guilt onto others.

  65. Your history is unclear. Emma told Joe to man up and face teh music. He had already escaped across the river but went back because of her.

Mountain meadows? Yeah Brigham – glad you brought that up, as he was likely (given the LDS policy of the day) the one who gave the order to murder them all. Your point of “hundrds of Indians forcing a few dozen mormons into killing” is laughable – like so many other lies!

Then the white men split the booty and gave the indians very little. BTW do you know how the Tabernacle in St George was able to buy glass and that clock from England?

The Fancher party was said to be wealthy. Guess where the money went?

  66. “The moment you committ such a crime, you cease to be FLDS. ”

    Catch 22.

  67. IRT the abortion laws, I think they were more a liberal bent than a republican one..

Its off topic though – there are lots of websites you can go and vent on that. If I could turn it off I would.

You can also vent on Obama, and his free wheeling spending sprees, or Bernie Madoff, or Isreal, or gays, or what have you.

However this particular venue addresses abuses against young teen girls and the abuses foisted on them by meglomaniac fundamentalists.

LOL so I guess you really arent FLDS until you score that third wife either huh?

  69. “The history is clear: Joseph was the one who was slain, and freely so by his own choice, preferrring death over the harming of someone else, proclaiming: “I go to the slaughter as a lamb, by I am as calm as a summer’s morning”.”

No, actually he went out in a blaze of bullets crying out a Masonic rallying cry for help from any Masons in the crowd. History claims he killed at least one of the men attacking him. That is neither “calmly” or “as a lamb to the slaughter”.

“Mountain Meadows? You’re reaching for straws. You have to read the history there too. The Mormons had just been slain in Illinois, and now here comes bands of loud-mouthed wagon-trains threatening them again.”

No, Illinois had been years ago. The Mormons were hot and bothered because the US was sending the Army in to make Brigham Young actually follow the laws of the United States.

“Go figure. Anyone would defend their family from such assaults.”

No on assaulted anyone from the wagon train. In fact, there is no verifiable evidence that anyone on the wagon train actually said anything more than “got any supplies you can sell us?”. Journal after journal after journal has been investigated and the ONLY source of these supposed threats was the Mormon Church hierarchy.

“As for Brigham Young, the history also says that he was very angry over that.”

Wrong again, but why bother you with the truth?

“Some outcasts and some Indians, as the record states, were mocked by the wagon-train over the Illinois killings,”

Why would Indians care about Illionois killings?

“and maybe even assaulted, so they sought to prevent further assaults.”

Prove it. Just one verifiable source of evidence Street. The world has been waiting over 80 years to see it. In fact, the Mormon church is so ashamed by what they did to these innocents that they won’t even allow the families of the dead people to take the bodies to be properly examined. STILL they try to hide behind — “Oh, but the Indians did it!”

“But Brigham was angry over it.”

No he wasn’t. If he had been angry about it more than one man would have been tried and found guilty as it is crystal clear that more than one man participated in this atrocity. No, he hung out Lee to be the scapegoat and tried desperately to milk the American government for as much as he could get over and above the looting of the wagon train.

“It was not the Church doing it, to wit:”

Sorry to burst your rosy bubble, Street but the Mormon church has blood up to its elbows on that one. No justification, no excuses, they cold bloodedly slaughtered those people. Claiming that the church had nothing to do with it when there are records of the sermons of the time showing such atrocities being preached from the pulpits. Lee’s own confession shows that the highest levels of the church wwere involved. Believe a lie if you wish, but don’t expect others to respect your supposed “truth” if you do.

  70. “You cannot skirt this fact by trying to put your massive crime and guilt onto others.”

I’m not guilty of any massive crime. I’ve never had an abortion, never wanted an abortion, never encouraged an abortion — even when my daughter got pregnant at 16. (I’m sure you’ve all heard too much about my opinion that it is unhealthy physically for younger teens to gvie birth.) So why are you trying to push someone else’s guilt on me?

  71. “Betty

“The moment you committ such a crime, you cease to be FLDS. ”

    Catch 22.”

LOL so I guess you really arent FLDS until you score that third wife either huh?

    Cant even catch ONE!???”

It’s called the No True Scotsman fallacy. People lacking a hint of logical debate tend to resort to it. It goes along the lines of:

    Scottsmen love haggis.
My friend is Scottish and he doesn’t like haggis.
Your friend is no true Scottsman.

Christians use it to rationalize away those who leave the faith — “Well they were never REALLY saved in the first place…”

Smith made up the rules with his sex appetite of the day.

  73. Warren threaten several of his wives with becoming a concubine in his dictations.

Elder Bruce R. McConkie definition of a concubine.
“Anciently they were considered to be secondary wives, that is, wives who did not have the same standing in the caste system then prevailing as did those wives who were not called concubines. There were no concubines connected with the practice of plural marriage in this dispensation, because the caste system which caused some wives to be so designated did not exist.” Doctine and Covenats Student Manual, page 327.

So I suppose those wives who are not special enough to come to Zion fall under the concubine label. Poor dears.

“several extended families left Arkansas by wagon train on what they planned to be their long emigration to southern California. Unfortunately for the groups of families (which came to be called “the Fancher party”), a revered Mormon apostle (and the great-great grandfather of 2008 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney), Parley Pratt, was murdered in western Arkansas within two weeks of their departure.

News of the Pratt murder, committed by a non-Mormon angered over Pratt’s taking of his wife, soon reached Utah, and greatly inflamed local hostility toward non-Mormons. When further word reached Salt Lake in July 1857 that the army was headed its way, Utah became a place hungry for retribution.”

    http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/FTRIALS/mountainmeadows/leeaccount.html

Yee the mormons attempted to pass all sorts of rumor as to why they murdered 120 men women and children, and stole for their own use everyting from the wagon train including the clothes from the murdered people.

But Brigham was at peace with it.

“Young learned of the tragic events at Mountain Meadows, first from Indian chiefs and then from John Lee, who traveled to Salt Lake City to provide a detailed account of the massacre.

According to Lee, Young at first expressed dismay about the Mormon participation in the massacre. He seemed especially concerned that news of the massacre would damage the national reputation of the Latter-day Saints

The next day, however, Young said he was at peace with what happened.

According to Lee, Young said, “I asked the Lord if it was all right for the deed to be done, to take away the vision of the deed from my mind, and the Lord did so, and I feel first rate. It is all right. The only fear I have is from traitors.”

  75. Last LDS prophet Hinckley opines about Parley Pratt taking a shot in the back by an assailant, here is an exmo reply:

    ===========

“And…by the way…Hector McLean stabbed PPP (Parley Parker Pratt) with an Arkansas “toothpick” (similar to a Bowie knife), as the former caught up to Pratt.

After Pratt fell, mortally wounded, McLean — still in a heated rage—finished him off, with a gunshot, it is told.

Some say that McLean aimed his gun at Pratt, as he rode abreast of him, on horseback, but that his gun mis-fired: whereupon, he–McLean–lunged at Pratt with his huge knife and gave the fatal (knife) blow.

I am not certain of the details, but Pratt was never “shot in the back”. This is Church propaganda, with the object of garnering sympathy for the fallen Apostle!

Wife thieves and horse thieves, it seemed, could “reap” the same fate, back there in Arkansas!

    http://www.exmormon.org/mormon/mormon408.htm

  76. And the part they like to leave out, Stamp, (if I’m not confusing my stories of Mormons who got killed by angry husbands) is that this man took the wife of the man who killed him and THEN tried to take the man’s children. (Just taking the wife didn’t drive the husband to murder, it was when Pratt came back and tried to take the man’s children too.) Even today that would be grounds for a justifiable homicide plea.

  77. “Smith made up the rules with his sex appetite of the day.”

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking reading about Joseph Smith. How can anyone in their right mind believe that nonsense? Not a single piece of evidence has ever been found to justify his whole “Moroni visited me and I got to see the special tablets! He even let me hold them!

I’ve got some tablets I need him to see too…… Now let me see what tree did I bury them under?

He liked & wanted MANY women and wrote his religion to suit that purpose and try and obtain some kind of justification for it.

    What a sick puppy!
